BREAKING NEWS... Indictment prepared for Ahmet Özer: Up to 15 years in prison requested

An indictment has been prepared for the suspended Esenyurt Mayor Ahmet Özer, requesting up to 15 years in prison for the charge of “being a member of the armed terrorist organization PKK/KCK.” The indictment, prepared by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, has been submitted to the Istanbul 14th High Criminal Court.

HE WAS ARRESTED AND SENT TO PRISON 

Özer was detained last year as part of an investigation conducted against him, and was subsequently arrested and sent to prison. The allegations that Özer engaged in activities linked to the PKK/KCK terrorist organization and acted in accordance with the organization's instructions were extensively detailed in the indictment.

The indictment states that, in addition to his suspension from office due to membership in a terrorist organization, his relations with the organization are set out in detail. The indictment includes allegations that Özer engaged in propaganda for the organization and provided support to the organization's financial resources.
