Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi announced the measures to be taken across the country for the Ramadan Feast. Çiftçi stated that 313 thousand 745 police, gendarmerie, and coast guard personnel will be on duty throughout the holiday. In this context, it was stated that security inspections will be increased during the holiday period.

AERIAL INSPECTION

Çiftçi announced that security measures will not be limited to highways and that aerial inspections will also be conducted. He stated that aerial inspections will be carried out with 16 helicopters, 1222 UCAVs, UAVs, and drones. Furthermore, it was stated that 390 ships and boats will participate in inspections alongside coast guard units.

NO RADAR TRAPS

Minister Çiftçi also made important statements regarding how radar inspections will be conducted in traffic. Emphasizing that there will be no radar trap practices during the holiday, Çiftçi said, "We will absolutely not conduct radar inspections by way of trapping. We will definitely have warning signs." This statement was evaluated as an important assurance for drivers.

ADDITIONAL TIME GRANTED FOR NEW LICENSE PLATE REGULATION

Mustafa Çiftçi also provided information regarding the new license plate regulation. Stating that citizens have been applying to the chamber of drivers with the law that came into effect as of 2023, Çiftçi announced that additional time has been granted so that citizens do not experience grievances.

MULTIMEDIA REGULATION STUDIES CONTINUE

Çiftçi also announced that regulatory work regarding sound and communication systems in vehicles is ongoing. He stated that until this regulation is issued, the relevant article of the law will not be enforced.
