The announcement of the verdict has been deferred, and judicial control measures have been lifted.
The trial of journalist Özlem Gürses, who was prosecuted for her comments on her YouTube channel regarding the agenda in Syria, has been concluded at the Istanbul 30th Criminal Court of First Instance.
Gürses appeared before the judge on charges of "publicly degrading the military or security organization of the state" due to her remarks concerning the TSK.
The court sentenced Özlem Gürses to 1 year and 3 months in prison. However, the court decided to "defer the announcement of the verdict" regarding the sentence.
This decision means that the sentence in question will not be executed under certain conditions. Furthermore, the travel ban imposed on Gürses during the trial process was also lifted by the court.
