Responding to journalists' questions before the AKP's parliamentary group meeting, Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç announced that 14 people have been detained in connection with the attack on the Turkish flag at the Qamishli-Nusaybin border.
Minister Tunç stated, "Regarding yesterday's events, our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, primarily in Mardin, has initiated the necessary judicial investigations. Proceedings have been initiated against 390 people. Arrest warrants have been issued for 35 people. Detention orders have been issued for 50 people."

Tunç said, "Necessary judicial proceedings are being conducted and continue to be conducted regarding the provocations displayed in various parts of our country, using the clashes between the Syrian government and government forces and the members of the SDF-YPG terrorist organization as a pretext. Specifically, 14 people have been detained in relation to the flag-lowering incident. The detention processes are also ongoing," he added.
