It has been reported that Mahir Polat, Deputy Secretary General of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), who was arrested and sent to prison along with IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, has been hospitalized.
Mahir Polat, who was arrested as part of an operation launched against the IMM and Ekrem İmamoğlu on allegations of 'terrorism' and 'corruption,' had been sent to Silivri Prison.
According to information shared by Halk TV presenter İsmail Küçükkaya, Polat, who has a heart condition, has been taken to the hospital.
