The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) has shared new information with the public regarding the procurement process for Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets. In a statement from the ministry, it was noted that an important agreement was signed with the United Kingdom on October 27, 2025, to strengthen the operational capabilities of the Air Force Command.
The statement included the following: "A contract was signed with the United Kingdom on October 27, 2025, for the procurement of newly produced Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft, equipment, and various ammunition to meet the operational needs of our Air Force Command."
The ministry announced that the procurement includes 20 newly produced Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft, mission equipment for these aircraft, and various types of ammunition. It was stated that the total cost of the project is approximately 5.4 billion British pounds.
Furthermore, the statement emphasized that efforts are ongoing regarding the Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft to be procured from Qatar and Oman to further increase Turkey's air power.
