The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) announced that the 3rd missile fired from Iran was successfully destroyed in mid-air by Turkish air defense systems.

The Ministry stated that the missiles were neutralized before they could approach Turkish borders.

In the statement, which reported that a ballistic munition fired from Iran and entering Turkish airspace was neutralized by NATO air and missile defense assets stationed in the Eastern Mediterranean, it was said, "All necessary measures are being taken decisively and without hesitation against any threat directed at our country's territory and airspace, and discussions are being held with the relevant country to clarify all dimensions of the incident."

The Ministry stated that all developments in the region are being closely monitored, with national security being the priority.

MISSILE FRAGMENTS HAD FALLEN IN HATAY AND GAZIANTEP

The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) had reported on March 9 that a ballistic missile fired from Iran was neutralized in Turkish airspace.

It was also stated that some munition fragments fell in Gaziantep and that there was no loss of life in the incident. Regarding the incident, the Iranian ambassador was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and an explanation was requested.

On March 4, a missile that was again fired from Iran, passed through Iraqi and Syrian airspace, and headed toward Turkish airspace from the Hatay region was destroyed by NATO Air Defense Systems.

Fragments of an interceptor missile fell into an open area in Dörtyol, Hatay, and no loss of life or injuries occurred.

PATRIOTS TO BE DEPLOYED TO MALATYA AGAINST IRANIAN MISSILES

The Turkish Armed Forces had taken a new step to protect Turkish airspace. The Ministry of National Defense had announced that a Patriot Air Defense System would be deployed to Malatya.
