Breaking News... New development in the betting scandal: Referee Zorbay Küçük files a complaint with the prosecutor's office!

Following the announcement by TFF President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu that 371 out of 571 referees officiating in professional leagues have betting accounts, and that 152 of them are actively placing bets, the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office continues.

In this context, it has been learned that TFF Trendyol Süper Lig referee Zorbay Küçük has applied to the prosecutor's office to file complaints regarding different matters. On the other hand, contrary to the allegations circulating in the public eye in recent days, it was stated that Küçük has not been summoned to testify as part of this investigation.

"THERE ARE TWO DIFFERENT BETTING ACCOUNTS"

Küçük's lawyer, Alp Osman Karaosmanoğlu, provided the following information:

"Our purpose for being here is to protect the TFF and to break the perception circulating in the media. There are two different betting accounts opened in my client's name. As far as we have determined, they were opened by a foreign individual who obtained his identity information. My client has absolutely never placed a bet."

STATEMENT FROM ZORBAY KÜÇÜK

In his statement to journalists in front of the courthouse, Küçük said, "Not only throughout my refereeing career, but even before my refereeing career, I have never been a member of any betting site and I have never placed any bets."
