Breaking News... New development in the Rojin Kabaiş investigation: Detention request for 2 people

New developments have emerged in the investigation into the death of Rojin Kabaiş, who was in Van for university studies and whose lifeless body was found 18 days after she went missing. Family lawyer Abdurrahman Karabulut, who took over the case, sent images retrieved from Kabaiş's phone to expert witnesses both domestically and abroad.

Examinations conducted by experts led to the discovery of data on one of the social media applications on the phone, which is believed to belong to one of the suspects. Following this, HTS and base station records were re-examined. The investigation determined that Rojin Kabaiş's phone received signals from the same base station as the suspect.

PETITION FROM THE KABAİŞ FAMILY TO THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE

Following the findings, a petition was submitted to the Van Chief Public Prosecutor's Office by the family lawyer. The petition requested that a detention order be issued for individuals bearing the same name and surname within the scope of reasonable suspicion.

Additionally, it was requested that the suspects' phones be seized and their DNA samples be collected.

It was also determined that one of the suspects had deactivated the social media application they were using. It was learned that the data in question could be accessed because Rojin Kabaiş's SIM card was registered in her mother's name.
