Following the sharing of footage from Ekrem İmamoğlu's courtroom appearance on social media, an investigation has been launched under the charge of "recording audio or video."
The "fake diploma" trial of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who has been held at Silivri Prison since March 23,

Footage taken during the court session became a hot topic. According to journalist Ceylan Sever, images showing İmamoğlu chatting with attendees in the courtroom were published on social media.
Following this development, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation under the charge of "recording audio or video." The prosecutor's office requested that the police identify the individuals who recorded the footage.

Presidential Chief Advisor Oktay Saral reacted to the footage of İmamoğlu in the courtroom. In a message shared on the social media platform X, Saral stated, "Is this a trial or a movie scene? I have never seen such a disgrace. What kind of court is this!? I have no doubt that our esteemed Minister of Justice will do what is necessary!" he said.
