Breaking News: Operation against 2 CHP municipalities in İzmir! Mayors in custody

In simultaneous operations conducted in four provinces centered in İzmir this morning, detention warrants were issued for 26 people, including CHP mayors and municipal officials.

As part of the investigation carried out by the Seferihisar Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, simultaneous search, seizure, and detention operations were conducted in İzmir, Istanbul, Adana, and Aydın at around 05:00.

Within the scope of the operation, Balçova Mayor Onur Yiğit,

Seferihisar Mayor İsmail Yetişkin,

and 24 others, including İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and Güzelbahçe Municipal Council Member Doğuş Bayır, as well as Seferihisar Deputy Mayors Nuriye Hepterlikçi and İnanç Karabulut, were taken into custody.
