An operation was carried out by teams from the Antalya Police Department's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) Branch, under the coordination of the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, as part of an investigation into allegations of "rigging bids, rigging the performance of duties, and forgery of official documents."

Within the scope of the investigation, the hot asphalt and sidewalk tender conducted by the Döşemealtı Municipality was placed under scrutiny. Examinations allegedly revealed that public losses were incurred through incomplete manufacturing, the issuance of duplicate progress payments for the same work, and the use of fake weighbridge slips. According to calculations, it is claimed that a public loss of 66 million 569 thousand 626 TL was incurred as of the progress payment date in the first tender, and 55 million 841 thousand 50 TL in the second tender. It is alleged that the loss amount in the second tender has reached 125 million 392 thousand 116 TL with updated figures.

DETENTION WARRANTS FOR 22 PEOPLE

An operation was launched against individuals determined to have acted in concert with former Döşemealtı Mayor Turgay Genç, who is alleged to be responsible for the public loss incurred during the investigation. In this context, detention warrants were issued for a total of 22 suspects, including 2 deputy mayors, 8 municipal staff members, 6 contractor employees, and 5 municipal council members.
