Breaking News... Operation at CHP-run Şile Municipality: Mayor Özgür Kabadayı detained
CHP Şile Mayor Özgür Kabadayı and several individuals from the municipality have been detained.
Operations targeting CHP-run municipalities continue unabated.
Following the allegations of Aziz İhsan Aktaş, who was released after becoming a whistleblower, financial crimes units conducted an operation at the Şile Municipality.
It was reported that the Mayor of Şile and several individuals from the municipality were detained as part of the operation.
"THIS IS NOT A STATE OF LAW; IT IS AN OPEN REGIME OF OPPRESSION"
Reacting to the operation, CHP Deputy Chairman Burhanettin Bulut shared the following on his social media account:
"The dawn raids of the Palace regime have now become routine. This morning, our Şile Mayor Özgür Kabadayı was detained. Unable to digest the defeat on March 31, the Palace is trying to suppress what it could not defeat at the ballot box with the police and the stick of the judiciary, and is attempting to discredit our municipalities. The law has now become a tool of revenge, not justice. This is not a state of law; it is an open regime of oppression. We do not accept this dirty order!"
