Precision operation by MIT: PKK's so-called Kirkuk provincial head neutralized

The National Intelligence Organization (MIT) has neutralized Remzi Avcı, the so-called Kirkuk Provincial Head of the terrorist organization PKK/KCK, who was wanted in the red category, in Sulaymaniyah, northern Iraq.

According to information obtained from security sources, MIT began meticulously tracking the activities of Remzi Avcı, codenamed "Çiya Amed," who had been directly involved in armed activities against Turkey since 1992 and was one of those responsible for the attacks against security forces during the trench/barricade incidents in Diyarbakır.

MIT identified a series of activities by the terrorist, who was on the red category of the wanted terrorists list, aimed at inflicting casualties on operational units in northern Iraq through sensational attacks.

Following the increase in the threat level posed by Avcı, MIT decided to launch an operation. The terrorist, who was hiding in an area 222 kilometers deep from the border due to his position as the so-called Kirkuk Provincial Head, was neutralized in a specific operation carried out with the immediate intervention of MIT's field agents.

It was stated that the PKK attempted to conceal the assassination to prevent the fear and demoralization that the killing of a leader at the provincial head level would create among its base.
