Breaking News: Prison sentence for former Sarıyer Mayor Şükrü Genç
A verdict has been reached in the Kazova Tekstil case heard in Istanbul. The court sentenced former Sarıyer Mayor Şükrü Genç to 7 years and 6 months in prison and ruled that his detention should continue.
The Istanbul 13th High Criminal Court announced its verdict in the Kazova Tekstil case, in which 25 defendants were being tried.
The panel sentenced former Sarıyer Mayor Şükrü Genç to 7 years and 6 months in prison.
Along with the verdict, the court also ruled that Genç should continue to be held in custody.
