Breaking News: Ruling from the Constitutional Court for Murat Çalık!
The Constitutional Court has rejected the release request of imprisoned Beylikdüzü Mayor Mehmet Murat Çalık.
Beylikdüzü Mayor Mehmet Murat Çalık, who was arrested during operations targeting the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) and has lost 21 kilos in prison, had applied to the Constitutional Court for his release.
The Constitutional Court rejected the application made for Çalık, who has previously overcome cancer twice. Çalık will continue to be tried while in custody.
