Fenerbahçe President Sadettin Saran, who gave a statement as a suspect as part of a drug investigation that began with famous singers and actors and later extended to the media and sports worlds, has had his drug test results announced.
It was announced that Saran, who provided blood, urine, hair, and nail samples, tested positive for cocaine in his hair test. Saran stated that he has never used the substance in his life and that he would provide a second test at an independent institution.
Saran, who provided a second test yesterday, was detained in the evening hours citing 'additional evidence'. Saran, who spent the night at the Maslak Provincial Gendarmerie Command, was scheduled to be referred to the courthouse today.
Tight security measures were observed at the Çağlayan Courthouse from the early hours of the morning.
A large number of police officers were deployed in front of the prosecutor's office on the 7th floor, where Saran was to give his statement, and the Duty Magistrate Court on the 6th floor.
Meanwhile, numerous armored police vehicles (TOMA) were brought to the courthouse.
Fenerbahçe fans began gathering in front of the courthouse to support Saran.

JUDICIAL CONTROL REQUEST

Saran left the Çağlayan Courthouse after his release. It was learned that Saran set off for Kadıköy to go to the Fenerbahçe Club building.
WHAT HAPPENED?
An instruction had been given to have Saran, who is under investigation for "supplying narcotic substances" and "facilitating the use of narcotic substances" as part of the drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Smuggling, Narcotics and Economic Crimes Investigation Bureau, present at the courthouse to provide his statement.
Saran, who was abroad and returned to Istanbul, came to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan on December 20 and gave his statement to the public prosecutor conducting the investigation.
Following his interrogation at the prosecutor's office, Saran was referred to the Council of Forensic Medicine (ATK) for blood and hair samples to be taken, and was brought back to the Istanbul Courthouse after the procedures there.
Saran was referred to the magistrate court with a request for judicial control in the form of a travel ban for the crimes of "supplying narcotic substances," "using narcotic substances," and "facilitating the use of narcotic substances," and the court issued a judicial control measure in line with the request.
In the report prepared by the ATK, it was determined that Saran's hair samples tested positive for drugs, while the test results for blood, urine, and nail samples were negative.
