In the second wave of operations carried out against Can Holding, 26 suspects have been detained. Among those taken into custody are Kenan Tekdağ, who was released in the first wave of the operation; Binsat Holding Board Chairmen Arafat Bingöl and Cengiz Bingöl; former Bilgi University Rector Remzi Sanver; and Betül Can and Zühal Can, the wives of the Can Holding owners.
Searches were conducted at the suspects' corporate headquarters and residential addresses, and a large number of digital materials, documents, and valuable papers were seized.
KENAN TEKDAĞ DETAINED AGAIN
In the operation conducted by the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) Branch, Kenan Tekdağ was detained once again. Additionally, Binsat Holding Board Chairmen Arafat Bingöl and Cengiz Bingöl, as well as former Bilgi University Rector Remzi Sanver, were among those detained. The suspects also include Betül Can and Zühal Can, the wives of Can Holding owners Şakir Can and Murat Can.
STATUS OF SUSPECTS ABROAD
Investigations revealed that three suspects are currently abroad. Procedures have been initiated regarding these individuals, and efforts are underway to apprehend them in the near future.
UNRECORDED FUNDS FOUND IN MASAK REPORTS
Following the operation, new details regarding MASAK reports were disclosed. Bank account transactions of 121 companies seized by the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) were examined. It was determined that 88 billion TL in unrecorded funds passed through these companies' accounts between 2020 and 2021. The second wave of the operation, launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, has gained momentum regarding these unrecorded financial movements.
SIMULTANEOUS OPERATIONS CONDUCTED
As part of the second wave of the operation, simultaneous raids were carried out in the provinces of Istanbul, Mersin, Iğdır, and İzmir. Digital materials and documents were seized during searches conducted at the suspects' corporate headquarters and residential addresses.
