Breaking News: Simultaneous operations against the terrorist organization ISIS in 25 provinces

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced in a statement on his social media account that large-scale operations were carried out against the terrorist organization ISIS in 25 provinces this morning. A total of 125 suspects were taken into custody during the operations conducted through the joint efforts of the Gendarmerie and police teams.

Yerlikaya included the following statements in his announcement:

“In our operations carried out simultaneously this morning in 25 provinces by our Gendarmerie and Police, we have apprehended 125 DAESH suspects.

Simultaneous operations were conducted in Afyonkarahisar, Ankara, Aydın, Bursa, Eskişehir, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Mardin, Mersin, Uşak, Istanbul, Niğde, Sakarya, Kastamonu, Kocaeli, Hakkari, Osmaniye, Izmir, Iğdır, Nevşehir, Erzurum, Denizli, Kırklareli, Şanlıurfa, and Yalova under the coordination of the Gendarmerie General Command and the General Directorate of Security, by the Provincial Gendarmerie Commands and Provincial Police Departments.

125 suspected members of the DAESH terrorist organization were apprehended. Those who plot against our brotherhood, our unity, and our solidarity, those who try to exploit our faith, and those who attack our values will see nothing but the power of our state and the unity of our nation before them!”
