T24 columnist and journalist Tolga Şardan was taken into custody yesterday due to his article titled "What is in the 'judiciary report' submitted by the MIT to the Presidency?"
Tolga Şardan was referred to the duty Magistrate Judge with a request for his arrest. After his statement was taken, Tolga Şardan was arrested.
12punto columnist Müyesser Yıldız asked Tolga Şardan, "What kind of revenge is this?" as he was being taken away following his court hearing.
Responding to Müyesser Yıldız, Tolga Şardan replied, "I do not see this as revenge; our profession is journalism, and these things can happen to us in journalism."
