An SF-260D type training aircraft belonging to the Air Force Command has crashed in Kayseri. The Ministry of National Defense announced that 2 pilots were martyred. Eyewitness Yusuf Yavrum, who saw the accident, said, "When we went outside at that moment, we saw it had crashed into the field. The sound was loud. I went to look, and we tried to intervene."
Search and rescue and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the region following reports that a training aircraft had crashed in the Hasan Arpa neighborhood of Kayseri's Kocasinan district.
A statement regarding the incident came from the Ministry of National Defense.

EYEWITNESSES SPEAK OUT
Citizens who saw the aircraft crash described the moment of the incident.
According to AA, eyewitness Ali Kabak said they heard a loud noise and saw smoke while sitting in his house.
Yusuf Yavrum stated that he had heard the training aircraft flying in the area for two days.
Expressing that he heard a sound during the flight today and that the aircraft passed over his house, Yavrum said, "When we went outside at that moment, we saw it had crashed into the field. The sound was loud. I went to look, and we tried to intervene."
The Ministry of National Defense had announced that an SF-260D type training aircraft belonging to the Air Force Command, which took off from the 12th Air Transportation Main Base Command in Kayseri for training, had crashed and that two pilots were martyred.
