It has been learned that police teams have entered the Istanbul headquarters of Halk TV.
It was reported that the Financial Crimes, Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM), and Anti-Terror (TEM) units are conducting a search at the channel.
Halk TV Chairman of the Board Cafer Mahiroğlu announced the development in a post on his social media account.
In his post, Mahiroğlu stated, "The leader of the nullity, Kılıçdaroğlu, and his team must be happy. The police are at Halk TV."
While it was reported that a trustee had been appointed to the channel, the police halted Halk TV's broadcast.

Halk TV presenter Deniz Bayramoğlu, who was expected to host the morning program, stated in a post on his social media account, "On October 14, 2026, at 05:15, a trustee was appointed to Halk TV. 17 DETENTION WARRANTS
As part of the operation conducted at Halk TV, detention warrants were issued for 17 people. It was stated that Cafer Mahiroğlu is among those for whom detention warrants were issued.
STERN STATEMENT FROM ÖZGÜR ÖZEL
Following the dawn raid on Halk TV, YENİ Party leader Özgür Özel also made a statement on his social media account. Stating that a police raid on a television channel at dawn and the appointment of a trustee is unacceptable, Özel said that they stand with the employees of Halk TV.
Özel's statement is as follows:

KILIÇDAROĞLU HAD TARGETED THE CHANNEL
The development came after the remarks of Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who was brought to the CHP Chairmanship by a nullity decision, targeting Halk TV during a live broadcast he recently attended on KRT. Kılıçdaroğlu had accused the channel of "broadcasting lies 24/7" and announced that they had filed a complaint against Halk TV with RTÜK.
Mahiroğlu, on the other hand, had previously reacted harshly to Kılıçdaroğlu's words and had leveled criticisms against him.
