RTÜK has announced that a broadcasting ban has been imposed regarding the armed attack on a restaurant in Mersin that left 6 people dead.
The Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) has announced that a broadcasting ban has been imposed by the Tarsus 2nd Criminal Court of Peace regarding the armed attack on a restaurant in Tarsus, Mersin, which resulted in 6 deaths and 8 injuries.
In the statement made by RTÜK, it was stated that, "Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Tarsus Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, in accordance with the decision of the Tarsus 2nd Criminal Court of Peace dated 18/05/2026 and numbered 2026/2362, a broadcasting ban decision has been issued regarding the incident that occurred in the Tarsus district of Mersin. It is importantly reminded that broadcasting organizations must strictly comply with the aforementioned court decision within the framework of Law No. 6112 and relevant legislation."
