BTP makes statement regarding Ankara Metropolitan Municipality candidacy: 'Our call to our fellow citizens is this...'

Independent Turkey Party (BTP) Ankara Provincial Chairman Ahmet Burak Güven announced his party's decision for Ankara at a press conference he held.

Stating that they are entering the elections with their own candidates across all of Turkey, Güven noted that they are supporting Mansur Yavaş for the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality.

Güven said the following in his statement:

"As the Independent Turkey Party Ankara Provincial Presidency, we are entering the elections in all 25 districts of Ankara. Due to the communication we have established during his 5-year mayoral term, his transparent management approach, the services he has provided to our Ankara, and his approach demonstrating that he is the mayor of everyone, we have decided to support Mr. Mansur Yavaş in the March 31 local elections. We wish success to all our mayoral candidates and Mr. Mansur Yavaş on this path they have embarked upon. Our call to our fellow citizens in Ankara in this election is this: Votes in the Metropolitan Municipality go to Mansur Yavaş, and in the districts, they go to the Independent Turkey Party candidates."

Our Ankara Provincial Chairman Ahmet Burak Güven:

“We are entering the elections in all districts of Ankara with our own candidates. We are not fielding a candidate for the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality and are supporting the incumbent mayor, Mr. Mansur Yavaş.
