Burcu Bostancıoğlu named as Democrat Party's İzmir candidate
Democrat Party Chairman Gültekin Uysal announced that Burcu Bostancıoğlu is his party's candidate for İzmir.
Democrat Party Chairman Gültekin Uysal introduced his party's İzmir Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate, Burcu Bostancıoğlu, at a press conference held at an association building.
Stating that they will work hard to be a strong alternative before the nation, Uysal said, "In the local election competition, we will act with a positive political understanding in line with our own principles. Municipalities need to meet with a vision that embraces not only today but also tomorrow. In a rapidly changing world, local governments make a great contribution to the development of that province."
Uysal wished Burcu Bostancıoğlu success.
Bostancıoğlu stated that she is proud to be a mayoral candidate in one of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's favorite cities in the 100th year of the Republic.
Explaining that she has been serving the city in local politics for about 5 years, Bostancıoğlu said, "I am setting out to make İzmir a more livable city and to increase the welfare of the people of İzmir. I will work with all my might to carry İzmir to the place it deserves."
