Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey has been sent to the courthouse along with 57 other individuals following the completion of police procedures.
Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey and the individuals accompanying him, who were detained as part of an ongoing investigation in Bursa, have been referred to judicial authorities following the completion of their questioning at the police station.
The group, which consists of 58 people in total, also includes several municipal officials alleged to have acted in concert with Bozbey.
It was noted that among those referred to the courthouse is former Nilüfer Mayor Turgay Erdem, whose detention has been ongoing for the past few days. The investigation is examining various allegations, including establishing and managing an organization for the purpose of committing crimes, bribery, money laundering, and causing zoning pollution.
The operation, conducted under the coordination of the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, has reportedly caused a significant stir in the city. Following standard procedures, the suspects are expected to be brought before the court, and a decision regarding them is anticipated shortly.
