Buse Akgün Gök, who was stabbed in a schoolyard in Ankara, has lost her life

26-year-old Buse Akgün Gök, who was stabbed at the school where she had gone to pick up her children in Ankara's Etimesgut district, has passed away 7 days after being hospitalized.

Gök, who had reportedly filed for divorce due to severe incompatibility, had moved to the neighborhood where her family lived. On September 17, Buse Akgün Gök was stabbed by her husband, Bayram Gök, who she was in the process of divorcing, in the courtyard of Şehit Turgay Topsakaloğlu Primary School, where she had gone to pick up her daughter.

Gök, who was severely injured, was taken to the hospital. Bayram Gök, who was detained following the incident, was arrested by the court to which he was referred.

FATHER ALLEGES PREMEDITATED MURDER

Buse Akgün Gök's father, Hasan Akgün, claimed that the incident was premeditated. Akgün stated that they were informed there was a parent-teacher meeting at the school on the day of the incident, and that Bayram Gök's mother was also present at the school.

Hasan Akgün alleged that the children were taken away by Bayram Gök's mother shortly before the attack, saying, "So this is a planned murder." Akgün stated that his daughter had been harassed previously as well.

Akgün also alleged that Bayram Gök's older brother had sent threatening messages to his daughter. Father Akgün stated that the messages were not deleted and that Buse Akgün Gök's phone was being examined by the police.

Hasan Akgün said that during the divorce process, Bayram Gök had started not to show the children to their mother. Explaining that they found a matchbox-sized device in the children's bag, Akgün stated that it was noticed when the device started beeping, and they suspected it might be a tracking device.

Akgün stated that the children were taken into state care on the day of the incident, and that he would strive to take them into his custody in the coming process. The grieving father said, "Let these femicides, these street murders come to an end."
