Businessman Tayfun Demirören released
Tayfun Demirören had been arrested and sent to prison due to a 66 million lira check debt. Following the payment of the debt by his family and the subsequent withdrawal of the complaint by the creditors, Tayfun Demirören was released by the court.
He was arrested yesterday evening and sent to Marmara Prison due to checks totaling 66 million lira that he could not pay. However, after the debt was paid by the Demirören family and the creditors withdrew their complaint, the court issued a release order.
According to the report in Sputnik, the detention of Tayfun Demirören, who had been sent to Marmara Prison, ended with his family paying the check debt.
Following the payment, the creditors' lawyer applied to the Istanbul 15th Enforcement Criminal Court requesting the dismissal of the sentence. Upon the application, the court decided to drop the case and ordered Demirören's release. The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Execution and Enforcement Bureau initiated the release process with a letter sent to the prison. Demirören is expected to be released shortly.
