Cabinet to meet this weekend: One of the topics is working life and 4 different models

The government is preparing to accelerate its efforts in September for radical changes to the Labor Law. At the cabinet meeting to be held in Ahlat this weekend, flexible working models will be discussed as the first step of these changes. These regulations, which will especially increase the participation of young people in the business world, will bring a new breath of life to working life.

According to information obtained from Ekonomi Gazetesi, four different models will be on the table within the scope of flexible working: remote work, part-time work, variable-time work, and work for academic training purposes. These models will include regulations for specific professional groups in accordance with the requirements of the era. The boundaries of flexible working will be determined, starting with professions operating in digital fields.

REMOTE WORKING MODEL AT THE FOREFRONT

One of the most important goals of the new regulations is to ensure that young people actively participate in working life. In particular, it is aimed to prevent talented young people in the fields of artificial intelligence and digital technologies from going abroad. Taking into account the desire of young people to work from where they live, remote work and similar models will be highlighted.

Reducing the five-day work week to four days is not on the agenda for now. However, the possibility of shortening working hours is being considered. With these steps, the government plans to make working life more flexible and suitable for young people.

President Erdoğan and cabinet members will be in Malazgirt for the 953rd anniversary events of the Battle of Malazgirt. The cabinet, which will meet in Ahlat after the events, will discuss important issues such as the Labor Law, the Competition Law, the Judicial Package, and Tax Reform. Legal regulations to be brought to the Parliament's agenda in October will also be among the main topics of this meeting.
