Cafer Mahiroğlu responds to claims that 'Halk TV will be sold'
Halk TV owner Cafer Mahiroğlu has issued a statement regarding claims that the channel will be sold.
Researcher Kemal Özkiraz alleged that Halk TV owner Cafer Mahiroğlu is in talks to sell the channel to the Can Group, which also owns HaberTürk. It was claimed that Mahiroğlu wants to join Can Medya and is awaiting approval. Furthermore, there are also claims circulating that Halk TV could be seized due to legal cases involving its owner, Cafer Mahiroğlu.
Halk TV owner Cafer Mahiroğlu strongly denied the allegations and made the following statement:
"Halk TV's steadfast stance seems to be seriously bothering some people. While I deal with the lies of a different degenerate every day, now they are claiming that I am in talks to sell Halk TV to a group I have never met or even know in my life.
The person telling these stories is quite serious in their claims...
Look, my dear friend! Someone has trolled you quite well. I don't know how many more times I have to say it! Cafer Mahiroğlu is a child of these lands and someone who believes in the founding philosophy of the democratic and secular Republic of Turkey.
As long as Cafer Mahiroğlu lives, Halk TV cannot be sold, and no one has enough money to buy it, because Halk TV is the television station of the millions who have dedicated their hearts to the democratic Republic of Turkey. Therefore, it is not a product to be sold, my dear friend."
