Çağdaş Özdemir, the chief physician at the time, arrested in Gülistan Doku investigation
Dr. Çağdaş Özdemir, an obstetrician and the chief physician of Tunceli State Hospital at the time, has been arrested after being referred to the courthouse as part of the Gülistan Doku investigation.
In the investigation into the disappearance of Gülistan Doku, a second-year Child Development student at Munzur University who has been missing in Tunceli since January 5, 2020, operations were carried out in 7 provinces on suspicion of murder. Of the 13 suspects detained, 10, including Mustafa Türkay Sonel, the son of the then-Tunceli Governor Tuncay Sonel, were arrested, while 3 suspects were released under judicial control.
Meanwhile, Dr. Çağdaş Özdemir, an obstetrician who served as the chief physician of Tunceli State Hospital at the time, was detained by teams from the Bursa Police Department's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) Branch upon the instructions of the prosecutor's office.
Özdemir, who was brought from Bursa to Tunceli and gave his statement at the Tunceli Provincial Gendarmerie Command, was referred to the courthouse today. Özdemir was arrested after appearing before the court.
