Call for impartiality from Dilek İmamoğlu: She spoke at Çağlayan
Dilek Kaya İmamoğlu made a statement at the Istanbul Courthouse square, where the 21st meeting of the Family Solidarity Network, established by the relatives of detainees, was held.
Dilek Kaya İmamoğlu, the wife ofEkrem İmamoğlu, who was removed from his post asMayor of Istanbul and arrested, said, "We are in a position where we are searching for a crumb of justice in these massive buildings.
We want an impartial trial without detention.
We demand the establishment of a system that would allow the trial to be broadcast live on TRTand any other channel requested,and that this be implemented as soon as possible."
The Family Solidarity Network,founded by the relatives of detainees, held its 21st meeting atthe Istanbul Courthouse square in Çağlayan.The meetingwas attended byDilek Kaya İmamoğlu, the wife ofEkrem İmamoğlu, who was arrested after being removed from his post as Mayor of Istanbul.made a statement.
Continuing her statement, İmamoğlu said, 'We want an impartial and non-custodial trial.
We want the presumption of innocence and the right to be free from stigma to be protected.
We want a system to be established that would allow the trial to be broadcast live on TRT and any other channel requested,to be set up.and we demand that it be implemented as soon as possible,'' she stated.
