Call for resignation from Murat Ağırel

The Super Cup, which was planned to be held in Saudi Arabia and had faced continuous backlash since the moment the decision was made, was cancelled after the parties involved reacted to the disrespect shown towards Atatürk.

Journalist Murat Ağırel was among those who shared posts regarding this cancellation. Ağırel stated that for Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray, "they are not just football teams."

Ağırel wrote the following:

In the very essence of both teams lies full independence, the Republic, and Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

The federation management that made Atatürk a subject of negotiation must resign immediately.
