The 96th of the "Defending the National Will" rallies, launched by the CHP with the demand for "Freedom for İmamoğlu" following the arrest of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu in March 2025 as part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, will be held today (March 7) at 14:00 in Karaman at Aktekke Square.

Imprisoned IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu addressed citizens via the Presidential Candidate Office's social media X account ahead of the Karaman rally.

Inviting the people of Karaman to the rally, İmamoğlu said in his video post, "We are meeting in Karaman," and used the following expressions:

"We are meeting in Karaman.

We have been of one heart against lawlessness everywhere in my country, and we will continue to be. Until we bring justice to this country!"
