Former AKP Central Executive Board (MYK) member and deputy Metin Külünk, in a statement made on his X (Twitter) account, addressed Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek.

"As you know very well, if there is a fire in the kitchen, unity and peace are in danger," said Külünk, "It is the street that keeps us in power, not a group of capital circles" he added.

Mr. Şimşek, 

We are aware that the responsibility of a difficult task rests on your shoulders during a challenging period.

Under the leadership of our President, Turkey is trying to navigate the most difficult turns in its last 100 years of history without compromising its integrity, unity, and solidarity, and we have full faith that it will overcome these difficulties.

And in overcoming these difficulties, the strong political stability and environment of trust under the leadership of our President, which is undoubtedly the most important line of state-nation unity, is very important and valuable.

As you know very well, 

If there is a fire in the kitchen, unity and solidarity are in danger. 

In the March 31 elections, the public clearly showed its reaction to the policies you are implementing, which you may see as justified from your own perspective. 

And emboldened by this reaction, those who want to shrink Turkey, 

Those who want to push Turkey toward a model focused on fragmentation in the medium term,

In other words, a party that sociologically represents 6 percent of the terrorist organization,

They are in motion to force submission to the demands of FETÖ and a stateless neo-liberal minority circle. 

We are certain that our nation sees this clearly. 

Be aware that the public is very uneasy.

The policies you are implementing may, of course, be seen as appropriate from your own perspective to help Turkey emerge from the economic difficulties it has entered. 

In fact, it might even seem appropriate mathematically in terms of Turkey's financial balances. 

However, you have to see the response to these policies on the street, we have to see it; 

Because we have been in power with an understanding that has always stood by the low-income and the disadvantaged until today, and it is the street that keeps us in power. 

What keeps us in power 

IS NOT A GROUP OF CAPITAL CIRCLES 

Mr. Şimşek, 

Let me state clearly that, 

There is an outcry in the kitchen and suffering at the dinner table. 

There is very serious resentment and anger among a very significant portion of our population. 

This anger is not an anger against avoiding sacrifice for Turkey to recover; it is the anger of 'Why are we paying the entire price for Turkey to recover?' 

The street says, 'A small, happy minority of the population sees no change in their lives, and in fact, they continue to add to their wealth and know no bounds in their indulgence, and no policy touches them. While capital and the happy minority surrounding it continue their lives as if nothing has happened, when will we, especially retirees, emerge from this hardship?'

One of the important responsibilities that falls upon you as our Treasury and Finance Minister is to take the necessary measures to position retirees and low-income groups as our citizens least affected during this difficult period, so that they do not fall victim to the inflation lobby, opportunists, hoarders, and capital acting uncontrollably as if saying 'You cannot touch me.' The public is waiting for this news from you.

WE MUST TAKE MEASURES FOR THE PEACE AT THE TABLES OF THE BROAD MASSES OF THE PEOPLE against the arrogance of capital that says you cannot touch us. 

UNHAPPY in the face of this happy minority, who are trying to send messages with photos after March 31, consisting of those who were preparing to flee on the night of July 15 and those who act with cheap loans they received from the nation's resources. 

OUR PEOPLE ARE WAITING FOR STEPS THAT WILL SIGNIFICANTLY RELIEVE THE BROAD MASSES OF THE PEOPLE. 

Let it not be forgotten that our people have already made the sacrifices we expect from the broad masses throughout every period of history and are still doing so; it is also important to take measures that will ensure the happy minority, who do not want to show any sacrifice, also make sacrifices. 

Because those who want to weaken Turkey and plan to neutralize Mr. Erdoğan in the shaping of the global world system aim to pit the State against the Nation by carrying the outcry of low-income groups in the kitchen to the streets through the opposition.
