The following statements were used in the declaration reacting to the words of AKP's Rümeysa Eker:
"Insults directed at the Kemalist ideology, which is guided by the principles and reforms of the founder of our Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and which serves as the unifying power of these lands, can never be accepted!
We strongly condemn the hateful expressions uttered by AKP Council Member Rümeysa Eker against Kemalists, who are the common denominator and red line of our nation, which completely cross the boundaries of morality and law.
These reckless statements, which incite the public to hatred and hostility and constitute insults and slander, must not go unpunished.
The ideas of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk are the guarantee of this country's independence, modernity, and justice. No one can smear these values by targeting millions of citizens for the sake of political gain or personal ambition.
As the Zafer Party Youth Branch, we will continue to stand tall against this dirty language and the politics of polarization."
