Can Ataklı released under judicial control! Travel ban imposed
Journalist Can Ataklı has been released under judicial control by the duty magistrate following an investigation launched into his remarks regarding families of martyrs and fathers of martyrs.
Journalist Can Ataklı was the subject of an ex officio investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for the crime of inciting the public to hatred and hostility or insulting them, due to his statements regarding families of martyrs and fathers of martyrs. As part of the investigation, Ataklı gave his statement to the Prosecutor's Office at the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan.
Following the statement given by Can Ataklı, the duty magistrate decided to release him under judicial control.
In this context, it was stated that Ataklı was released on the condition that he complies with judicial control measures, including a requirement to sign in and a ban on traveling abroad.
