Famous actor Can Yaman, who was detained and subsequently released in a drug investigation, addressed the Italian press in a statement made on his social media account.
Yaman, who was taken into custody as part of an investigation into "prohibited substances" and "prostitution" conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, was released after giving his statement. Addressing the allegations against him, Yaman made harsh criticisms of the Turkish press and issued a warning to the Italian media.
"THE TURKISH PRESS HAS ALWAYS TREATED ME BADLY"
Can Yaman used the following expressions in his social media post:
"Dear Italian press, it is a known fact that the Turkish press has always treated me badly; this is nothing new. But you are not like that. Please do not fall into the trap of copy-pasting news. Do you really believe that I was walking around nightclubs with prohibited substances during a period when the police were detaining many celebrities and conducting large-scale investigations?"
