'Cancellation' decision regarding the 'Paramount Hotel' brought to the agenda by Sedat Peker: Municipality takes action

The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report for the hotel known as the 'Paramount Hotel,' which was brought to the agenda by organized crime leader Sedat Peker and was expected to open under the name 'The Plaza Bodrum,' has been canceled.

The hotel has been sealed. The Paramount Hotel was featured in the 'revelation videos' of organized crime leader Sedat Peker, who had alleged that Sezgin Baran Korkmaz had 'seized' the hotel.

THE FUTURE OF THE HOTEL REMAINS UNCERTAIN

The future of the hotel, which was sealed following objections to the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report, remains uncertain.

It was claimed that the reason for the cancellation of the report was unauthorized expansion and the addition of rooms at the facility. It was learned that the owner of the hotel, one of Bodrum's prestigious tourism facilities, is Sezgin Baran Korkmaz.

It was learned that the seasonal prices of the hotel, which draws attention with its luxury and high prices, start from 1,000 Euros per night and go up to 30,000 Euros.

Following the sealing decision, which caused a major stir in the tourism sector, it is awaited with curiosity whether the hotel will be able to operate again.

WHAT DID SEDAT PEKER SAY?

The issue came to the public's attention with videos published by organized crime leader Sedat Peker in 2021.

In these videos, Peker made allegations regarding individuals who vacationed at the hotel in question.

According to the allegations, many journalists, members of the judiciary, and bureaucrats, most notably Veyis Ateş, had vacationed for free at the Paramount Hotel. Peker had also claimed that Sezgin Baran Korkmaz had 'seized' the hotel.
