Çankaya Mayor Hüseyin Can Güner arrested
As part of an investigation into the Çankaya Municipality, 24 people, including Mayor Hüseyin Can Güner, have been arrested.
As part of an investigation conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an operation was carried out at the Çankaya Municipality on the morning of July 11, and detention warrants were issued for 36 people, including Hüseyin Can Güner. In accordance with the decision, 30 people were taken into custody.
The individuals taken into custody were accused of "establishing a criminal organization," "being a member of a criminal organization," "taking bribes," "giving bribes," and "rigging tenders."
Hüseyin Can Güner and 29 other suspects, whose procedures at the police station were completed, were referred to the Ankara Courthouse following health checks. After the prosecutor's office procedures, 30 people were brought before the criminal judgeship of peace with a request for arrest.

The judgeship decided to arrest 24 people, including Mayor Hüseyin Can Güner. The other 6 suspects were released under judicial control conditions.
