Çankaya Municipality postpones Republic Day events

Mayor Güner announced that they have postponed the Republic Day events in the district due to the terrorist attack on TUSAŞ.

Mayor Güner stated, “However, we are not giving up on celebrating our Republic Day shoulder to shoulder and with enthusiasm. Together with our Chairman Mr. Özgür Özel, we are marching from the First Parliament to the presence of our Ancestor.”

According to the news in ANKA, the statement made by Güner on his social media account is as follows:

“The Republic was founded by those who were not afraid! Today, as the grandchildren of those who were not afraid, we are preparing to celebrate the 101st anniversary of our Republic with pride and enthusiasm. Due to the treacherous terrorist attack that took place in our capital Ankara, we are postponing our concerts and torchlight procession planned for October 28-29 to a later date. However, we are not giving up on celebrating our greatest holiday, Republic Day, shoulder to shoulder and with enthusiasm. Together with our Chairman Mr. Özgür Özel, in Çankaya, the heart of the Republic, with our heads held high and our footsteps accompanying the rhythm of our brave hearts, we are marching from the First Parliament to the presence of our Ancestor.
