Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç made a statement regarding the extradition process of Serdar Sertçelik, the secret witness in the Ayhan Bora Kaplan investigation that has dominated Turkey's agenda.
Stating, "The documents are in Hungary; we are waiting for the extradition to be carried out," Tunç reminded that a 40-day temporary detention order had been issued in Hungary.
WHAT HAPPENED?
The Ankara 32nd High Criminal Court had prepared an extradition request for Serdar Sertçelik, who revealed that he was the secret witness with the code M7 in the Ayhan Bora Kaplan case and was captured in Hungary, and sent it to the Ministry of Justice to be forwarded to Hungary.
In the request, it was stated that Sertçelik faced charges including "establishing and managing an organization, intentional killing, torture, looting, and blackmail" within the scope of the Kaplan case.
