Car catches fire in Beşiktaş; mother and child escape just in time
A fire broke out in a moving vehicle in Beşiktaş. After the female driver pulled the car over to the right, she and her child got out just as flames began to rise from the front of the vehicle, which was then extinguished by citizens.
According to the information obtained, the incident occurred around 16:30 in the Türkali neighborhood of Barbaros Boulevard in Beşiktaş. The female driver, who was driving her vehicle, pulled the car over to the right after seeing smoke rising from the engine compartment. The driver then took her child and exited the vehicle. While the area was covered in smoke, citizens first intervened in the flames with fire extinguishers. While the fire was extinguished by those nearby, fire crews who arrived at the scene shortly after carried out cooling operations. The vehicle, which was completely extinguished, sustained extensive damage.
