Car taken to industrial site for maintenance turns into a fireball

The fire broke out in a car at an auto repair shop in the 2nd Industrial Site in the Yenişehir district due to fuel and electrical leaks.

An individual whose name could not be learned left their Tofaş brand car with license plate 27 R 2102 at the industrial site for maintenance. 

At that moment, as soon as the mechanics started the vehicle, the car's hood was engulfed in flames.

Upon notification of the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center, health, fire, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The moments when the fire broke out due to the electrical and fuel leak were captured second by second on a mobile phone camera.

"IT BURNED DUE TO FUEL AND ELECTRICAL LEAKS"

Stating that the burning car had been brought to his shop for maintenance, Çekdar Yaşar said that as soon as they started the vehicle, it turned into a fireball.

Yaşar said, “I am an auto mechanic at the 2nd Industrial Site. The vehicle is a Tofaş, a gasoline and LPG vehicle, and it is also an older model. The car burned due to fuel and electrical leaks.

The vehicle had come to our shop for maintenance. We opened the hood of the car, and as soon as we turned the ignition, it caught fire. By the time the fire crews arrived, the car had been reduced to ashes,” he said.
