Car with 5 people plunges off bridge into creek in Antalya: 2 missing, including 1 child!

The accident occurred during the night in the Gökdere neighborhood of Aksu district.

According to the information obtained, the car with license plate 15 MA 0595, which was reported to have 5 people inside, plunged off a bridge approximately 2 meters high into the creek and became submerged. Three of the 5 foreign nationals in the vehicle, whose names have not yet been learned, managed to get out of the car on their own. Upon notification, Gendarmerie Search and Rescue (JAK), fire department, AFAD, UMKE, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.

While the teams arrived at the specified address, the 3 people injured in the accident were transported to hospitals by ambulances. Upon reports that a woman in her 20s and a child were missing in the creek, divers began a search in the water.

THEY SEARCHED FOR 4 HOURS AND FOUND THE BACK SEAT

The teams, who first started search operations from the point where the car was located, searched the inside of the creek thoroughly. During the searches conducted in the direction of the current, the back seat of the vehicle was found in a creek culvert 1 kilometer away. Although the teams intensified their efforts at this point, the missing persons could not be reached. It was learned that the search operations, which lasted approximately 4 hours, will continue during the day.

CHILD'S SLIPPER FOUND

It was noted that a slipper belonging to a small child and parts of the vehicle were present on the bridge where the accident occurred.

It was observed that the vehicle, which was removed from the creek with the help of a tow truck, had a crate of pumpkins in its rear trunk and the name "Zeynep" written on its rear window.
