Caspian Airlines aircraft preparing for takeoff at Istanbul Airport seized

A seizure procedure was carried out on a Caspian Airlines aircraft preparing for a flight to Iran at Istanbul Airport. Passengers were deplaned before takeoff and directed to the terminal.

Within the scope of the legal process initiated due to the Iranian airline Caspian Airlines' debt to a surveillance company, lawyers for the creditor company and enforcement officers arrived at the airport. It was stated that the company's debt is 3 million euros.

It was stated that the aircraft with tail registration EP-KPB was preparing for takeoff for its Iran flight during the enforcement procedure. Authorities were requested not to allow the aircraft to take off.

Upon this, the assigned officers requested that the passengers be deplaned. No information was shared regarding how the process will continue for the flight plan of the passengers taken to the terminal.

Following the evacuation of the passengers, the seizure procedure was applied to the aircraft. The incident was recorded as one of the rare practices at Istanbul Airport.
