Cause of death determined for tourist found in Pamukkale

The cause of death has been determined for the Polish woman who went missing while visiting Pamukkale with a tour group and was found dead at the bottom of a cliff 24 hours later. It was determined that the elderly woman suffered a heart attack before falling down the cliff.

In Denizli, it has been determined that the Polish national Maria Latacz, whose body was found after she went missing at the Pamukkale archaeological site, died due to a heart attack.

The autopsy procedures for Latacz (75) at Pamukkale University Hospital have been completed.

The autopsy determined that the cause of death was a heart attack.

Following the procedures, the body was handed over to Polish consulate officials.

It was stated that Latacz's body would first be taken to Antalya and then transported to Poland by plane.

Search and rescue efforts were initiated in Denizli on the evening of May 8 after tour company staff reported that they could not reach Maria Latacz, and rescue teams found Latacz's body one day later.
