Cem Küçük names names again: He claimed 'they are on the payroll of the IMM' and listed them one by one!
In his latest column, Cem Küçük identified by name several journalists he alleges are on the payroll of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM). Stating that "the journalists on the IMM payroll should speak up," Küçük argued that many figures, including İsmail Saymaz, Fatih Altaylı, and Nevşin Mengü, must disclose their financial relationships.
Pro-government writer Cem Küçük, who has previously drawn significant backlash for naming individuals ahead of planned operations, disclosed in his column today the names of those he alleges are receiving salaries from the IMM. "Journalists affiliated with the CHP, do not grumble. It is known that most of you are profiting from the IMM," said Cem Küçük, further claiming that "everyone knows that couriers are distributing cash to homes by hand."
Stating that "journalists on the IMM payroll must speak up," Küçük also listed the names of the journalists he claims are receiving money from the IMM in his article.
Here is that section from Küçük's article:
"Figures like Can Kakışım and Şükrü Küçükşahin are official consultants. Although we do not know what they actually do, these individuals should explain what they are being paid for. Halk TV, Sözcü newspaper, Nefes newspaper, Tele 1, and Karar newspaper should disclose how much advertising revenue they have received from the IMM over the last 6 years. They must show the invoices. Otherwise, allegations of impropriety will never end.
İsmail Saymaz, Bahar Feyzan, Nevşin Mengü, Fatih Altaylı, Altan Sancar, and others must explain whether they received cash by hand or if they issued invoices and received advertising for their YouTube channels. They are obligated to present the invoices.
Ruşen Çakır stated that he received advertising for Medyascope. He also declared that he did not receive money by hand. The IMM is a public institution. The money in the IMM is the people's money.
İsmail Saymaz's name appears frequently in MASAK (Financial Crimes Investigation Board) reports. He must honestly explain with what money he acquired the assets he holds in Rize and Istanbul. It is the public's right to know which municipality's vehicle the named journalists used.
The named journalists and others are now subject to a prosecutor's investigation. You cannot close the subject by simply saying you did not receive it. Come out and speak honestly."
