Censorship of CHP by TRT during national match: Names of Özel, İmamoğlu, and Yavaş were not mentioned
TRT, which broadcast the quarter-final match between the Turkish Women's National Volleyball Team and China at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, did not mention the names of CHP leader Özgür Özel, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, and Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş, who were in attendance to watch the match.
At the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the Turkish Women's National Volleyball Team faced China in the quarter-finals. The Sultans of the Net won the breathtaking match, which went to a fifth set, 3-2, securing their place in the semi-finals.
Among those watching the national team's match were Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak, as well as CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, and Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş.
TRT Spor, which broadcast the match, conducted an interview with Osman Aşkın Bak following the historic victory.
