Central African Republic mandate in the Turkish Parliament

In the mandate sent to the Speaker of the TBMM with the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is also the Chairman of the AKP, it was recalled that the Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) was previously established by a UN Security Council resolution.

Pointing to stability in the region, the mandate stated: "It has been assessed that providing military contributions from our country to the resolution of humanitarian and political crises that pose a threat to regional stability and peace in Africa will constitute a natural extension of the active foreign policy we are pursuing in the region and on the African continent in general."

"EXTEND FOR 1 YEAR"

The mandate requested that the term of duty of the Turkish Armed Forces, which was last extended by the TBMM on October 26, 2022, be extended for one year starting from October 31, 2023, within the framework of the permission to be granted and the principles to be determined by the President.
